Hi i have same concern regarding how to apply for national insurance number?

does it mean that it might be a scam?im applying for a healthcare assisstant in ireland. they gave me instruction like obtaining a labour security number which also to send back the work permit forms to the employer in dublin that i already did and now they are requiring me to obtain a national security number.i checked the employer's address and also the address of the agency.though i still have dilemmas.thanks
