I just used sanded caulk where our plastic shower surround meets our porcelain tub -- is that bad?

It is FlorCraft ceramic tile & fixture caulk. I think we thought "sanded white" was the color, not actual grit. I just spent two days pulling out all the old nasty caulk and using rubbing alcohol to get all the nasty stuff off the plastic shower surround... if you have any inkling this is bad news *please* let me know as I'll go wash it off now.
