If I was audited without prior knowledge, will the IRS take my refund this year?

Ok I am one of those millions of people with the 'we are processing you'll get it later' status messages on WMR site. My date came and went, so I called that IRS. They informed me that last year I was audited, which I had no prior knowledge of. I moved last year, did the change of address through the post office, still never received anything about the audit. Now they are telling me that the audit is closed, and they took away my earned income credit, that I received from claiming MY KIDS. They said I did not prove my right to claim them in the allotted time. How am I to do that if I had no clue I was even audited. So my question is this, will the IRS hold my refund from this year while HR Block is helping me with the audit from last year? My refunds were prepared in an HR Block office, and insured. The IRS is just making me spend too much extra money to get what I was due. I have claimed my kids every year for the past 10 years why would I not have a right to claim them 9 years into it? Any advice, knowledge, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
